Upcoming services . . .
April 28 — ZOOM CHURCH! During this Zoom service, we'll hear several progressive theologians and scholars talk about how Biblical texts taken literally have been used as a tool of oppression—and how our understanding of the Christian life and faith depends on how and whether we read the Bible. May 5 — This morning we'll hear from lay speaker Bonnie Beiswenger, who also sings in the Chancel Choir and rings with the Handbell Choir. With her blended interest in Buddhism and Progressive Christianity, Bonnie brings a fresh, unique perspective to our services. May 12 – Veteran lay speaker Laurel Robinson, who also serves as a deacon and sings in the Chancel Choir, will bring the message this morning. We'll also share in Holy Communion during this service. May 20 — At this service, we'll enjoy hearing from Rev. Mary Angela Davis, a retired UCC minister who is a long-time friend of the Centre Street family. And our Handbell Choir will ring for us this morning—alway a treat! |
